INJECTION COMPONENTS
Injectors
PSI injectors mate with the top of PSI superchargers, and are designed to maximize air intake. All PSI injectors are compatible with Enderle barrel valves, linkages and throttle stops. They have either aluminum or stainless steel butterfly shafts, and anodized butterflies. The butterflies in all PSI injectors have unique, radiused sides, to prevent squeaks, scrapes, and jams. They can be ordered with or without holes which prevent icing. There are four styles:
Round Port Injector (aluminum only): The earliest design, it works with lower boost marine applications. The butterfly shape makes for smooth throttle response in the marina.
Large square-port (polished, Dowed magnesium; aluminum by special order); most commonly used in TAFC
Lowered square-port (magnesium only); designed for improved visibility. Capable of excellent air flow despite its low profile
Deep throat; no other injector provides more gains in boost, especially when combined with the lip (see below). Competitors have tried to better this design, but have failed
Injector Lips:
Utilizing the same aerodynamic principles as jet engine inlets, PSI injector lips maximize the airflow into the injector at all operating speeds. Racers are amazed at how much better they work than all the assorted cowls and appendages they previously tried.
Adapter Plates:
PSI injectors can be used on all non-intergrated injector blowers from other manufactures with an adapter plate (call us for information). Injectors can be mounted backwards for drag boat racing using our reverser plate. You can also run a PSI with carburetors instead of injection by using one of our Dual-Dominator adapter plated (side-to-side, or in line). |
